Welcome to Wine and Romance - where vintage flair and vineyard charm meet in an upscale boutique shopping mall on the Oregon coast! Daily wine tastings of award-winning Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris from Willamette Valley, and other varietals from the Pacific Northwest, are poured from noon – 5pm. Wine and Romance is an off-premise licensed wine shop, offering 10% discount on a 6-pack and 15% discount on a case. We carry international wine and champagne from France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Chili, Argentia, and Australia! If you can’t find your favorite wine in stock, just let us know. We’ll be happy to contact a distributor and special order the wine for you. Wine and Romance also ships wine to most US states!
Shopping Experience: Grapevines entwined in latticework, French wine barrels, original 1916 Oregon Daily Journal wallpaper, and a replica Crosley radio recreates a vintage shopping experience. Aromatic cabernet gel candles and decadent Moonstruck chocolate truffles tease your senses, while your eyes gaze upon unique gifts from around the world. Turkish decanters and Italian porcelain trolls fill illuminated display cases. Local artisan work, such as Giclee wine prints, art glass bottle stoppers, wine bottle lamps, and driftwood wine racks tempt tourists and locals alike. Yes, we believe in green products! Come in and see our beautfiul cheeseplatters, recycled from wine bottles, and wine sign, upcycled from a waiter's tray. Wine accessories include napkins, wine bags, wine boxes, corkscrews, monogrammed wine bottle stoppers, rockers, dossiers, cellar tags, wine flasks, label lifts, aerators, preservers and more!
History: Darcy and Ruth Zerbel moved to Gleneden Beach, Oregon from Sacramento, California, in 2005. On August 30th, 2008, their 33rd anniversary, they decided to pick up a bottle of wine and Moonstruck chocolate at Wine and Romance. They discovered the quaint, little wine shop was for sale and within a month they owned it. For the first year, they told customers that they knew more about romance than wine. The humor and friendly service continues today. We are here seven days a week, only closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Location: We are located on the west side of Hwy 101 at 7755 Hwy 101, Gleneden Beach, Oregon, on the Oregon coast. Heading south from Lincoln City, turn right at the Shops at Salishan. From Newport, travel north to Depoe Bay, the whale-watching capital of the world and continue north for six more miles. Once you are in the parking lot of the Salishan Shopping Mall, go to the courtyard and we are directly across from the massive outdoor rock fireplace - a romantic setting in the evening! Wyndham by World Mark and Salishan Spa and Golf Resort are two premier vacation resorts within walking or driving distance. The beach is only 10 minutes from our doorstep.
